Batumi to Yerevan train resume in Summer 2022
Starting from June 15 Armenian railway company has started two times a week train operations between Armenian capital city of Yerevan to Georgian Black Sea coastal town of Batumi.
According to the new schedule trains depart Yerevan every Tuesday and Friday at 14:00, arriving in Batumi early morning next day. Return train is leaving Batumi every Wednesday and Saturday at 15:40 hours, arriving in Yerevan the next day morning.
This is an overnight train that comprised of three different type of travel class cabins:
- Compartment for 2 – private cabin for two passengers
- Compartment for 4 – private cabin for 4 passengers
- Open carriage – otherwise known as Platscart, open space carriages with sleeping berths.

Georgia and Armenia have resumed train connection between two countries following the ease of anti-COVID restrictions early in 2022. Regular overnight train between capital cities of Tbilisi and Yerevan operate 5 times a week.
