Kakheti – Eastern region of Georgia, that is widely believed to be a birthplace of wine. It is considered that you have not been to Georgia until you try a local wine and learn everything about traditional winemaking and the word “qvevri” (claypot used for aging the wine). And all of this should be done in Kakheti.
The one-day wine tour we suggest is a great opportunity for your team’s build-up, because as old saying goes: “Nothing strengthens your staff members’ corporate loyalty as a good old Georgian wine”. Indeed, this is an effective way to organize your team and engage them in something different from weekly meetings and standard corporate events with traditional buffet.
Our bus will meet your group at the Hotel in Tbilisi in the morning and drive to Kakheti. The road will pass via the fascinating Gombori mountain pass, after which the group will arrive in Telavi – administrative center of Kakheti. First stop will be the Vardisubani village to see the family run Qvevri-making workshop. The group then will continue to the Twins wine cellar – to have a wine tasting tour with master-class in local bread making. This will be followed by lunch.
The final stop for the day will be a visit to Khareba winery. This is one of the biggest wine cellars in the country, located within the mountain built-in tunnels.
Return to Tbilisi.
